Equine Adequan IM
Provide relief for your horse’s symptoms of joint damage: heat, swelling, pain and lameness, with Adequan i.m. Adequan is recommended for the intramuscular treatment of non-infectious degenerative and/or traumatic joint dysfunction and associated lameness of the carpal and hock joints in horses. It’s the only equine joint therapy clinically proven to relieve symptoms and treat the underlying causes of equine degenerative joint disease. Adequani.m. reaches the joint quickly. Two hours after a single i.m. injection, scintillation studies on multiple joints demonstrated beneficial levels in the synovial fluid of all joints tested. With Adequan i.m.’s important anti-inflammatory effects, you’re no longer just treating symptoms: you're doing something to help stop the degenerative process.
Each 5 milliliters of Adequan i.m. contains 500 mg of Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan and Water for Injection q.s. Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid added when necessary to adjust pH. Sodium Chloride may be added to adjust tonicity.
Directions for User:
The recommended dose of Adequan IM in horses is 500mg every 4 days for 28 days intramuscularly. The injection site must be thoroughly cleansed prior to injection. Do not mix Adequan IM with other drugs or solvents.
